(You may read these at your own pace, or go to the narrated virtual tour that allows you to focus on the visuals). Welcome to Tarpon Cove, one of the best kept secrets of the nearby town of Tarpon Springs, a boater's paradise from a kayak up to a 40 foot vessel. A community sitting on a peninsula on the Gulf and bordered by a nature preserve, with quick access to many white-sand barrier islands and beaches, some of which have been voted amongst the top 10 beaches in the United States. Nearby Howard Beach is less than 5 miles away by car or 3 miles by kayak or boat. This property is located on the Gulf and is about 25 miles west of Tampa International Airport and about 15 miles north of the hustle and crowds of Clearwater Beach -- just outside Tarpon Springs. This area has that old Florida feel but is close to a metropolis when you desire it. Speaking of Tarpon Springs, it’s just 3 miles away from the property. This quaint and Historic Greek town is famous for its Sponge Docks, great Greek restaurants, fresh fish and shrimp right off the boats. And beautiful lagoon parks where manatees come and visit. Building 1806 is just steps from the marina. This property is a highly sought after end unit on an upper floor. Marina views from the kitchen and Gulf views from the lanai. With the 24/7 guarded gate, the 2 pools, 2 tennis courts, fitness center, clubhouse, shell path walkways and even an art studio... you’ll feel like you’re in a resort that is actually your home. To top it off it has a 61 slip, Marina with power and water for quick access to the Gulf for fun filled days... and a beautiful way to close out your day with a sunset. Your assigned garage parking, is less than 20 steps to the elevator with carts to bring up your bags, and a step up curb along side to keep a kayak that can be rolled or carried to the close by kayak launch. As you exit the elevator, your 1st view is of the marina and ample extra parking when you have guests. Glancing down you see a nice grill, firepit and circle of chairs where your neighbors gather often. It’s a good way to meet them. But straight ahead is what you really want to see…apt 318…so let’s get to it. You’ll see a white bench before going in. The bench is a great place for tool bags or fishing equip, or kayak gear or potting soil or whatever. It will be empty for your use. And finally you will see the best view because the “Cove” is often visited by manatees, rays, dolphins and all sorts of Marine life. And “you” get to check it daily! And sometimes, you will see baby manatees! Or you may even see a fever of stingrays! The exterior doors in the building are steel fire/storm doors. 318 has an optional glass/screen combo door for views, light, breezes and you can see who is at your door from the lanai. All windows and sliders recently upgraded to top of the line PGT Miami-Dade County storm impact rated and tinted glass for energy efficiency, a $45,000 upgrade. Stepping inside, colors and customized light are the design with Levolor cellular room darkening Top Down/Bottom Up shades. All the way down to greet the morning sun in the kitchen, all the way up for approaching evenings, and in between for in betweens. Preparing a fresh caught, delicious seafood meal, tastes even better with this view! Opposite the Kitchen to the left is a wide set of pocket door leading to a trundle bed Guest bedroom that can double as an office if needed with custom shading for reading, working, or watching TV. The Guest Bedroom has a 2nd set of pocket doors leading to it’s Ensuite Bath which is richly decorated--perfect for any guest, especially a walker or wheelchair guest needing ample turn around space. A must have for anyone living in Tarpon Cove…shells from the nearby beaches and a soft sponge from the Sponge Docks. Combo shower head, tub faucet and hand sprayer (great for rinsing out the cooler). It has a 3 ft grab bar. The tub will accommodate a shower stool. This bath has a 2nd door for non overnighting guests which opens to… a door into the Laundry room with side by side W/D and all sorts of storage shelves and racks. The AC handler and HWH are also in this well-lit room. Just outside the laundry room is a multi shelf dish pantry. And across from the pantry is the ”fun” closet for coolers, picnic baskets, beach towels, kayak gear, tennis rackets, work out stuff, snorkels. Another “must” of fun stuff for this fun place to live. Wrapping up the storage space is the 318 outdoor locker. Each condo in this building has one that’s in a storage room next to the elevator. This is for seasonal, every day or specialty items like easels, studio paints and canvasses or fishing gear or beach chairs and umbrellas. All-in-all this 2 bedroom condo has about as much storage space as a 1 car garage. Let’s get back to the condo! The cherry wood long dining table set with matching seat upholstery to chairs and bar stools can easily sit 6 or have the center leaf removed for a 4 top game table or more intimate meal setting. Plus, there are fitted protective pads which have both a vinyl and a felt side that can be used on either the 6 or 4 top configuration. The chairs are large, sturdy and comfortable for long seatings or movable to the living area for larger group entertaining. The Living area is spacious enough to seat two very large recliners and a love seat plus accompanying cocktail, end tables and entertainment center, OR, A love seat and a triple sofa seating. The entertainment center features behind the wall connections to a large 65 inch smart TV for sound and viewing without a spaghetti mess of wires. No more squinting at photos from phones, tablets or laptops. The doorway to the left of the Living area leads to the Primary bedroom and Ensuite bath. It also has a double window and glass slider door to the balcony. It’s ample for a king size bed and accompanying furniture. A 32 inch TV, an all white wicker furniture collection that includes a tall dresser, chest of drawers, 2 nightstands and mirror. From the bedroom a pocket door leads to the Ensuite bath consisting of dual sinks, walk in closet and second pocket door to the ADA commode and then what is best described as “the waterworks shower” A “dual end” all stainless: rain shower, 2 hand wands, 1 spray nozzle, 2 shampoo nooks, fully tiled with listello accents, walk in access, fold down seat, 6 grab rails, 12 hang pegs. This is a customized, very accessible shower for anyone with a disability to relish and anyone else to fully enjoy. Saving the best for last... An open air lanai with great views of the Gulf! VIEWING is a major pastime from this multi-view end unit upper floor condo overlooking both the Gulf and Nature Preserve. Whether it be seascapes, migratory birds, kite surfers, kayakers or simply beautiful skies and sunsets. Binoculars are yet another a “must” have and one for each table so no one misses out. The Pièce de résistance is the annual 4th of July Tarpon Springs Fireworks display from nearby Sunset Beach for which you will have the best ever front row seat! Whether you take a moment during that first cup of morning coffee, or share an evening with a glass of wineYou’ll always treasure this “best kept secret of Tarpon Springs”…Tarpon Cove There’s one set of double doors you didn’t get to see but will now. But first, just slide the white love seat over a few feet. Now grab the top handle on the middle of the two white doors (they’re a little heavy so get a 2nd person to help) and lower the doors to the floor and… Voilà! No more guests sleeping on an uncomfortable pull-out sofa bed with the unbearable bar across their back. A queen size top-of-the line mattress as an extra guest Murphy bed (in case you need more than the 2 trundles in the Guest bedroom). Except for the two large recliners and the white love seat, practically everything you’ve seen in these photos convey including the TVs, 2 sets of binoculars, kitchen dinnerware, glasses and flatware. If you’re seeking a vacation home you need only to pack your bags. Welcome Home!
